So March was off by one book, meaning the total was off. It was 10 books, for a first-quarter total of 29, 4 of them nonfiction,

So that was March. 9 books, 3 of them nonfiction, for a total of 28 books, 4 nonfiction.

Looks like February was a short month, with only six books read, all of them fiction.

The annual total so far is 19 books, one of them nonfiction.

So January had 13 books, one nonfiction, for an annual total of 13 books. A good beginning!

And that was the last book of December, and by extension, of last year. The monthly total was 9 books, 2 of them nonfiction.

The annual total was 141 books, 36 of them nonfiction. Not the most books I've read in a year, but top three, certainly.

So that was November's books. Eight books, four of them nonfiction (an unusually high number for nonfiction), for an annual total of 132 books, 34 nonfiction.

And that mad scramble ended October's books. There were eight in total, two of them nonfiction, for an annual total of 124 books, 30 of them nonfiction.

So that was September's last books. A total of ten, two nonfiction, for an annual total of 116, with 28 nonfiction.

So, that was it for August. A total of ten books, for an annual total of 106 books; a pretty good total to reach as early as the end of August. The last couple of years didn't even break 100. Of August's books, 2 were nonfiction, for an annual total there of 26 books.

So, Whitfield's Benighted was the last book of July (and about time!). July had 14 books, 4 of them nonfiction, for an annual total of 96 books, 24 nonfiction.
